Lara Logan
Lara Logan, born 29/03/71 was an South African television journalist and war reporter. She was a CBS News reporter from 2002 to 2018.60 Minutes' executive producers Jeff Fager and Lara Logan have called her factually incorrect and politically biased coverage of the 2012 Benghazi attacks "the most glaring error of my 10-year watching." She joined the Sinclair Broadcast Group in 2019, a conservative media company. [4] In January 2020 she joined Fox Nation (a subscription streaming service owned by Fox News). In March 2022, she claimed she was "dumped" by the company. Logan was a journalist for the Sunday Tribune of Durban during her studies (1988-1989), followed by the Daily News of the city (1990-1992). In 1992, she became a senior producer at Reuters Television Africa. After four years she branched out into freelance journalism, obtaining reports as a reporter, editor/producer with ITN as well as Fox/SKY, CBS News, ABC News (in London), NBC, and the European Broadcasting Union. Reporting on news events like the 1998 bombings of the United States Embassy in Nairobi and Tanzania and the ongoing conflicts in Northern Ireland and the Kosovo conflict, she worked for CNN.
