Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on 19th August 1965, is an American actress. Her most prominent role is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick received an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson and also an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. The seventh season of the show concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick's role as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also notable. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was an Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English origins. Sedgwick has publicly declared her Jewish heritage and has said she participates in Passover seders.
