Her most well-known work is her roles in Spamalot's West End original production and the Regent's Park revival of Into the Woods. In recognition of her work she was nominated for three Olivier Awards. In 2015, she was part of the cast of the fifth season of Game of Thrones. HBO series Game of Thrones as Septa Unella in addition to appearing as an ensemble player in the film adaptation of Les Miserables and 2018 British psychological thriller Winter Ridge in a primary role. Waddingham is nominated for an Golden Globe Award.
